Celebrating the year of the nurse and midwife, we have the same problems as a hundred years ago. Personnel problems and problems of professional discrimination of nurses are still acute. We should strive to increase the prestige of the profession to perceive the nurse as an equal participant in the treatment process. We need to provide an opportunity for a nurse to realize professional ambitions, such as getting a higher nursing education and an academic degree.

Paramedics are unique specialists in the Russian healthcare system. The role of a paramedic is to provide medical and preventive care to almost all categories of the population - adult patients, children, the elderly, disabled, pregnant etc. Often, the paramedic - as working in the primary care department - has to solve complex diagnostic and tactical issues. This means that this specialist is required to be highly qualified in providing first aid, carrying out preventive measures, pre-medical reception of patients, and providing integrated patient care. The study analyzed the activities of paramedical workers, in particular paramedics, in the Orenburg region. On the basis of a sociological study (questionnaire), features of the conditions for the provision of medical care were identified, a modern description of the activities of paramedics was given. The main development trends are shown, as well as the problematic facets of staffing are identified. The results of this work bring us to the conclusion that it is necessary to maintain and develop paramedic-obstetric centers in the primary health care system for the rural population, especially in the area with a low population density, one of which the territory of the Orenburg region is.

The goal of medical assistance to elderly people, living in long-term social care institutions (such as homes for elderly and disabled people), is to retain patients' quality of life, that is, to maintain at a minimum level their ability to do such everyday activities as hygienic procedures, dressing or eating, without outside help. The main medical staff providing assistance to the residents of long-term social institutions are geriatric nurses, whose activities largely determine the quality of care provided. The article is about the safety issues of elderly residents, living in long-term social institutions, while nursing care . The safety of older people is inextricably linked to the quality of nursing. The most important safety indicators for elderly patients with limited mobility are indicators, characterizing the prevalence of bedsores and falls in the institution, in many cases leading to serious infections and injuries and significantly reducing patients' quality of life. This requires nurses, working in such institutions, to have special abilities, skills and competencies. This article provides practical guidance on some of them.

The life expectancy increase leads to an increase in the proportion of elderly and senile patients, who are characterized by the simultaneous presence of several chronic diseases requiring appropriate treatment. Prescribing a large number of medications (polypragmasia) to elderly patients leads to the development of unwanted adverse reactions. An effective method of combating polypragmasia is deprescribing. This problem requires special attention and study, due to the lack of sufficient data in the Russian scientific society.

The article contains the information about 73 children with uveitis of various etiologies having free and proteinbound forms hydrocortisone and corticosterone. At the same time, the most pronounced increase in the hydrocortisone content was found, both free and associated with a positive ophthalmological effect when prescribing anti-inflammatory therapy in combination with angioprotectors, antioxidants and hormonal drugs, which is important for understanding the nature of the inflammatory process and is necessary to increase the efficiency of the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory children eye diseases..
