Quality of nursing care in palliative care
Abstract
This topic is based on a study that leads to an avaliation of the criteria of quality of nursing care in palliative care. Identification of skills, knowledge, professionalism, that is, the overall professional competence of nurses GBUZ «Center for Palliative Care DZM». The work explains the problems and barriers of palliative care, which often reduce the quality, how to evaluate the quality of medical services, the examination is explained in detail, the results and interpretations are shown, and recommendations are made to the institution and nurses to improve the quality of nursing care.

Trends in the field of practice-oriented education for nurses in Belarus
Abstract
Nurses present a considerable team for rendering assistance for the population of the Republic of Belarus in health maintaining and promotion. To improve the health care, it is necessary to update the educational process of the nursing staff at the stages of basic and supplementary training. Ways of development and educational trends of nurses have been analyzed. Systemic proposals for realizing these tasks in training nurses at various stages of education have been introduced.

COVID-19 and modern pediatric practice
Abstract
The pandemic of a new severe infection, announced by the World Health Organization last year, continues to develop. To a certain extent, the epidemic has affected the child population. For the first time, pediatricians are faced with the incredible situation where adults are more severely ill than children. However, children were not left out of the spread of COVID-19. The article summarizes the results of developments concerning the development of a new disease, its diagnosis, therapeutic possibilities with the use of modern medicines. Most of the information regarding the impact of the novel coronavirus on children is still in clinical trials and is on the way to being introduced into pediatric practice.

Diagnosis and treatment of juvenile (juvenile) rheumatoid arthritis
Abstract
The high prevalence of juvenile idiopathic arthritis and the complexity of diagnosis, as well as the high percentage of disability, justify the high relevance of this problem at the current stage of medical development. The article presents a summary of the clinical picture, diagnosis and approaches to therapy. The features of the clinical course of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, taking into account different variants of the disease, are indicated.

Healthcare professional opinions on patients’ expectations from plans to change nursing functions
Abstract
The authors in their original scientific research (2020) using sociological methods - a mass questionnaire survey and expert interviews - identified factors influencing the change in the quality of medical services and working conditions for nurses as a result of the expansion of their labor functions. Special attention was paid to the systematization of the opinions of doctors and nurses (clinics and hospitals) regarding the positive and negative expectations of patients from such an innovation in the field of healthcare. The reasons for both the possible cautious attitude of patients and their inspired perception from the expansion of the functional duties of nurses are shown.

Actual aspects of medical care and rehabilitation in nurse’s work with patients in severe, who have chronic mental disorders
Abstract
A vegetative state, or appalic syndrome, is a condition that occurs against a background of severe brain damage. The vegetative status is characterized by a significant violation of the higher nervous functions, while the work of the autonomic (autonomic) nervous system remains almost completely intact. The paper discusses the main areas of nurse’s work with patients in a vegetative state. The description of specific clinical cases, practical examples of work with this category of patients brings special significant value of this article.

Abstract
The model is based on the search and accumulation of information about the preservation and promotion of health, both in relation to individuals and the family, as well as defining the role of nursing in promoting health. In this context, the model should provide the creation of a theoretical basis for nursing and thus contribute to the further development of nursing as a science of interaction with the goal of promoting health (M. Allen, 1986). The author described her model as “health through development”. She acknowledges the important contributions of other researchers to the advancement of nursing science and points to the overall direction of the model and the concept of health inherent in it.
