PRIMARY PREVENTION OF STROKE

Abstract

Stroke is a global epidemic that threatens the life and health of the world population. The lecture presents the main neurological concept of primary prevention of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, as set out in the current national and international guidelines. At present, throughout the world, prevention is recognized as a priority area of care. The most important and at the same time most controversial section of preventive medicine is the primary prevention of stroke, which includes a set of measures to prevent the development of a first acute stroke through early detection and timely correction of risk factors for cerebrovascular disease.
