PRIMARY PREVENTION OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE IN GENERAL PRACTICE

Abstract

The article presents the main provisions of the primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The risk factors, prevention strategies, the SCORE scale are discussed. In addition, authors describe the principles of correction of such risk factors for cardiovascular disease like smoking, overweight, poor nutrition, low physi- cal activity, and hypertension, dyslipidemia and hyperglycemia.

ACCREDITATION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS

Abstract

The article describes changes in the system of medical training that are regulated by the orders of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education of Russia in 2013 and 2015. The process of initial accreditation of students that will be launched in 2017 is discussed. We note the mismatch of the list of equipment recommended by the Ministry of Health of Russia, the purposes and objectives of accreditation. We suggest ways to improve the quality of training of graduates of medical universities who will work in primary care without training in residency, and increasing the efficiency of the initial accreditation.

This article contains a description of the research program and the medical educational program in Oslo,Norway. We will present the different aspects of the education, including the structure, exams, the internshipand financial support. Based on this description, it is clear that there are several differences between the medical education in Russia and Norway. The importance of foreign student exchange programs will be discussed in the conclusion.
