AGE-RELATED AND STRESS-INDUCED PROTEINOPATHY OF CEREBRAL NEURONS IN RATS

Abstract

A study of morphological and functional changes in neurons and glial cells of the cerebral cortex of white rats at the stages of aging and stress-induced neurodegeneration under experiment was investigated. It was found that the age-related neurodegenerative changes in somatosensory cortex neurons of white rats at the age of 30 months are characterized with pronounced signs of proteoinopathy and developing of apoptosis, which is enhanced by exposure to stress factors in clear violation of protein metabolism in the form of accumulation of intra- and extracellular amyloid.

PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL AND CARDIOVASCULAR MECHANISMS SUPPORTING THE LEARNING PROCESSIS OF THE STUDENTS

Abstract

Research of the psychological and physiological status of the medical students before and after solving the multiple choice computer questions were explored. Individual psychological and physiological parameters were studied in students with best results and students with worse results of the solving of the tasks. It was shown, that the less resulted students solving of the multiple choice questions attained by chainging more numbers of the physiological parameters and attended of psychoemotional tension. Obviously it was connected with low level of the students knowledge and was accompanied by increasing of general tension. More resultative students had better psycho-physiological parameters before solving tests.

METABOLIC ASPECTS OF PHARMACOLOGICAL DEPRIVATION PERIPHERAL NICOTINIC SENSITIVE CHOLINERGIC SYNAPSES

Abstract

Content of ATP, ADP, of AMP and activity of isozyme systems LDH in the cranial cervical sympathetic ganglia (CSSG) rabbits was investigated with partial and complete deprivation of N-cholinergic (N-HE) synapses. Dynamics of activity of LDH and content of macroergs in deprivation N-HE synapses indicates that blockade of N-HE synapses results in sympathetic ganglia to significant energy shortages and disruption of energy homeostasis. It is assumed that changes in energy metabolism are the main cause CSSG hypofunction observed during pharmacological blockade by antagonists N-HE synapses.

SOME INDICATORS OF QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH HIV INFECTION IN CONDITIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of some indicators of the quality of life (QOL) in 100 HIV-infected patients living in the Republic of Tajikistan. The evaluation was conducted using the SF-36 questionnaire. The age of respondents ranged from 17 to 56 years, of which 61,7% were men and 38,3% - women. Comparative analysis QOL revealed in HIV-infected women's higher rates of psychosocial component scale SF-36 than men living with HIV. Despite this availability of the problem is a significant factor that reduces the level of QOL of people living with HIV (PLHIV). In patients from the study group the decrease QOL was due to statistically low levels (p<0,05) on the scale of the psychosocial aspects - social (51,4 points - in the study group, 76,1 points - in the control), and role functioning due to emotional condition (56,9 and 77,2 points, respectively), general health (49,3 and 63,4 points), mental health (51,2 and 70,1 points), as well as the vital activity (49,6 and 63,4 points). QOL of PLHIV indicators are set, such as general health, family, emotional sphere, social contacts, vital activity, level of education, level of stigma and discrimination, as well as access to health services.

METHODS OF IDENTIFICATION OF DRUGS AS P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES

Abstract

The article presents an original method for determining belonging of drugs to the substrates of the transport protein P-glycoprotein (Pgp). This methodics is based on a comparison of the pharmacokinetic parameters of the test substrate before and after a course of administration of the inductor (rifampicin) and inhibitor (verapamil) of the transport protein. If the content of test substance in organism is reduced after Pgp inductor administration, and increased after the inhibitor administration, we conclude that this substance is Pgp substrate. For approbation of developed technique we examined by blind method the pharmacokinetics of fexofenadine - known Pgp substrate at a dose of 67,5 mg/kg, before and after the 14-days administration of rifampicin (40 mg/kg twice daily) and verapamil (a daily dose of 20 mg/kg three times a day). It was revealed that after a course administration of verapamil maximum concentration of fexofenadine, its area under the concentration-time curve and half-life were significantly increased, as well as the time of maximum concentration was decreased. In contrast, rifampicin course administration resulted in a decrease in the area under the curve concentration-time and an increase in total clearance of marker substrate of Pgp, wich proves the adequacy of methods.

EFFECT OF AN INHIBITOR OF DPP-4-VTLDAGLIPTIN FOR THE FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY OF P-GLYCOPROTEIN IN VIVO

Abstract

In the in vivo study in rabbits the effect of vildagliptin at 5 mg / kg body weight of the functional activity of the protein transporter P-glycoprotein (P-gp, ABCB1 protein) was studied. P-gp activity was evaluated by its pharmacokinetics marker substrate - fexofenadine after a single intragastric administration. Applying vildagliptin for 14 days led to an increase in the maximum concentration of fexofenadine, its half-life, area under the concentration-time curve from zero to the last point of drawing blood, area under the concentration-time curve from zero to infinity, and the retention time of marker substrate and reduce the overall clearance rate of absorption and distribution volume, indicating that the inhibition of the functional activity of the protein transporter at the level of the whole organism.

EPITHELIAL AND STROMAL COMPONENTS IN DUCTAL BREAST CANCER

Abstract

Currently, most of the scientific work is focused on the study of epithelial-stromal relations play an important role in the progression of epithelial tumors towards dedifferentiated phenotype. The aim of our research - the study of morphological properties of anaplastic tumor sites and surrounding stroma of ductal breast cancer. Epithelial-stromal interactions in ductal breast cancer cause its aggressive biological behavior, resistance to chemotherapy and varying depending on the survival of tumor differentiation. Heterogeneity is manifested in the ductal carcinoma anaplastic appearance (sarcomatoid) component, which traced the ability of epithelial tumor cells acquire the properties of mesenchymal cells do not require the stroma and have an aggressive malignant potential impact on survival of patients.
