SPECIFICS OF POLYMORPHISMS OF GENES OF AGO1, DGCR8, GEMIN4, DROSHA IN PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION AND POST-INFARCTION CARDIOSCLEROSIS

Abstract

A total of 30 men with hypertension and 20 men with post-infarction cardiosclerosis were examined. The analysis of association of polymorphisms of genes which participate in a biogenesis of microRNAs (miRNAs), such as AGO1 (A/G), DGCR8 (G/A), GEMIN4 (A/G), DROSHA (A/C) with a frequency of hypertension and post-infarction cardiosclerosis is carried out. The association between a genotype of AA of a gene of GEMIN4 and risk of development of hypertension is found. The results indicated about important role of this genotype in pathogenesis of hypertension, but mechanisms of realization of its effects aren’t studied.

The peculiarities of intermitochondrial contacts during ontogenetic formation of mitochondria network in normal and under hypoxic damage of cardiogenesis

Abstract

The aim of this work was to determine the formation of intermitochondrial contacts during ontogenesis of mitochondrial reticulum and to evaluate the degree of mitochondria associations under the influence of prenatal hypoxia. In the present study, we analyzed that in normal conditions the number of intermitochondrial contacts was different in areas of the cell and changed to the stages of ontogeny. Influence of intrauterine hypoxia and oxidative stress leads to mitochondrial reactions that affects to the formation between organelles intermitochondrial contacts in the sub-sarcolemmal, intermyoflbrillar and paranuclear regions of ventricle cardiomyocytes.

Comparative morphological study of spinal cord of siamese twins

Abstract

Considering the rarity of occurrence of such anomalies of human development, like siamese twins, and a few reports of a descriptive nature in the available literature that would have dealt with these studies, we performed anatomical and histological, histochemical and morphometric study of spinal cord siamese twins (thoracopagus) in a comparative perspective: right - left. Found that significant differences in the structures of the spinal cord cytoarchitectonics the left and right of the fetus thoracopagus person we have not identified. However, slight differences in morphometric parameters observed at the level of the cervical and lumbosacral bulges. The results, in our view, not only complement the knowledge in human teratology, but in neuroanatomy as a whole.

THE EFFECT OF SPECIFIC PHARMACOTHERAPY ON THE DEGREE OF OXIDATIVE MODIFICATION OF PROTEINS AND LIPIDS IN THE BLOOD PLASMA OF PATIENTS WITH KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS

Abstract

Knee osteoarthritis is followed by the intensification of free radical oxidation of proteins and lipids in the blood plasma of patients. Specific pharmacotherapy leads to a significant reduction in the content of carbonyl groups, aliphatic aldehyde groups and malondialdehyde in the tested samples, and to an increase in the total protein content up to normal physiological values in half of the treated patients. The results of the study allow us to recommend the use of these indicators in laboratory diagnostics for indepth study of the degenerative dystrophic process in the knee joint, as well as to monitor the progress of therapy and to evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

THE ACTIVITY OF LYSOSOMAL ENZYMES IN UNCOMPLICATED POSTPARTUM AND ENDOMETRITIS

Abstract

The inflammatory process in any localization is accompanied by an increase of the enzymatic activity in the focus of inflammation and blood, which is an important patogenenetic element in the development and result of inflammation in the uterus in normal postopartum and postpartum complicated by endometritis. There was the research of activity of the lysosomal enzymes (cathepsin D, β-D-galactosidase, DNA-ase) for determining of their clinical significance in the diagnostics and controlling of their efficiency of treatment of postpartum endometritis. Identified changes in the concentration of these enzymes in metroaspirate are more informative to measure the severity of the inflammatory process in the uterus.

STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION OF THE SPECTRAL PATTERNS OF EEG IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING A FOREIN LANGUAGE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ACOUSTIC SPEECH PROSODY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the organization of spectral EEG patterns in medical school students studying the foreign language. It is shown that students successfully mastering the training program have a higher absolute spectral power of the alpha, beta, and theta rhythms of the left hemisphere. Students with a low level of knowledge of foreign language speech revealed to have mostly right hemisphere dominance. Functional tests with listening texts in a foreign language, as familiar and not previously studied, revealed the specialization of hemispheres in respect to acoustic prosody of foreign languages.

CHANGES IN BALANCE OF T-HELPER SUBSETS IN THE GALT OF RATS UNDER CHRONIC ZOOSOCIAL STRESS AND MODULATION OF THE INTESTINAL MICROFLORA

Abstract

It was investigated the influence of chronic zoosocial stress (ZSS) and modulation of the intestinal microflora composition on the ratio of T-helper subsets in GALT. It has been established that ZSS development was accompanied by an imbalance Tbet+/Gata3+- and Foxp3 +/Roryt +-cells, indicating the dominance of Th1- and Th17-differentiation and increasing levels of pro-inflammatory signaling in the gut. It was shown that the introduction of kanamycin to the stressed rats leads to the dominance of Th1- and Treg subsets, but modulation of the intestinal microflora lactobacterine reduces the ratio of Tbet +/Gata3 + - lymphocytes in the own lamina of mucous membrane of the fibres, increases in subepithelial zone and increases unidirectionally the ratio of Treg/Th17.

The form and the disposition of the lower border of the maxillary sinus at the physiological, mesial and distal occlusion of dentition

Abstract

We have studied 99 lateral teleroentgenograms of the scull made in patients aged 20 to 45. There were 48 patients with physiological occlusion of dentition, 36 patients with distal occlusion and 15 patients with mesial occlusion of dentition. We have identified four basic forms of the lower boundary of the maxillary sinus and 3 types of its vertical distance from the basis of maxilla (line ANS-PNS) in the portions corresponding to the position of the premolars’ and molars’ root tips. We have compared the frequency of the location of the posterior teeth’s root tips above the lower boundary of the sinus for various types of dental occlusion. This analysis is important for forecasting outcomes of orthodontic mesial/distal movement of posterior teeth, as well as for replacement of defects of the upper denture by implant-supported prostheses.

RISK AS SYSTEM ORGANIZATION INDEPENDENT COMPONENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL PURPOSEFUL ACTIVITY

Abstract

In the article various theoretical approaches in studying risk behavior are discussed, and also the attempt to consider the phenomenon of risk according to the general theory of the functional systems of academician P. K. Anokhin is made. The theoretical statements proving the possible addictive nature of the activity associated with risk are given. It is supposed that the readiness for the risk represents a particular specific motivational condition which, under the terms of uncertainty, is integrated into a functional system. The risk is considered as the independent component of the system organization of an individual purposeful behavior.
