Аннотация
Представлен краткий обзор результатов применения метода приемных функций. В зоне фазовых переходов топография основных сейсмических границ оценивается с разрешением по глубине порядка 3 км и порядка 200 км по горизонтали. Максимальная амплитуда вариаций глубины основных границ достигает десятков километров. Установлено утонение переходной зоны мантии в горячих точках и соответствующее повышение температуры на величину порядка 100 °С. В ряде районов обнаружено 2 низкоскоростных слоя в переходной зоне мантии: один непосредственно над 410-км сейсмической границей, второй на глубине от 450 до 500 км. Происхождение первого слоя связано с высвобождением воды в мантийных плюмах при фазовом переходе оливин – вадслеит. Увеличение скорости поперечных волн в подошве второго слоя может объяснить наблюдения так называемой 520-км границы.
Традиционный подход к исследованию структуры коры и верхней мантии связан с использованием поверхностных волн. Приемные функции могут обеспечить более высокое разрешение на тех же глубинах при совместном использовании приемных функций продольных и поперечных волн. Результаты такого типа получены для Фенноскандии, Каапваальского кратона, Индийского щита, Центрального Тянь-Шаня, Байкальской рифтовой зоны, Азорских островов, островов Зеленого мыса и западного Средиземноморья. Приемные функции поперечных волн использованы в исследовании лунной коры. Совместное обращение приемных функций продольных и поперечных волн позволяет уверенно оценивать параметры сейсмических границ, включая такие слабые границы, как литосфера – астеносфера кратонов. В число определяемых параметров входит отношение скоростей продольных и поперечных волн. В рядe мест наблюдается очень высокое (> 2.0) отношение скоростей в нижней коре, которое может указывать на присутствие жидкости с высоким поровым давлением. Приемные функции позволяют оценивать параметры азимутальной анизотропии как функцию глубины. Изменение параметров с глубиной позволяет отличить активную анизотропию, связанную с современными деформациями, от замороженной анизотропии – эффекта прошлых тектонических процессов.
