Algorithm for estimating tropopause height Htr is refined with the possibility of applying to data of high spatial resolution. The estimated multi–year means of tropopause height change from 16–17 km in the tropics to 8–9 km in the polar regions with only relatively weak non–zonal features. At the same time, interannual variations of Htr characterized by standard deviations are comparable to the vertical resolution of the used reanalysis data (several hundred meters), reaching one and a half to two kilometers in the subtropical regions, two kilometers in the regions of subtropical jets (especially in the winter hemisphere). The peculiarities of variations of the tropopause height with a period of about 4 years were revealed, which can be explained by the influence of El Niño/La Niña events on the regional processes of formation of the deep convection in the atmosphere. the statistically significant linear trends of the tropopause height in the subtropics (several m/year) were noted.</p>
отмечены статистически значимые линейные тренды высоты тропопаузы в субтропиках (несколько м/год).</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>tropopause height</kwd><kwd>double tropopause</kwd><kwd>subtropical jets</kwd><kwd>reanalysis data</kwd><kwd>ERA5</kwd><kwd>NCEP/DOE Reanalysis II</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>высота тропопаузы</kwd><kwd>двойная тропопауза</kwd><kwd>субтропическое струйное течение</kwd><kwd>данные реанализа</kwd><kwd>ERA5</kwd><kwd>NCEP/DOE Reanalysis II</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Российский научный фонд</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id>23–62–10043</award-id></award-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Российский научный фонд</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id>24-17-00211</award-id></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Безотеческая Е. И.
