Based on geological-geophysical data and cartographic materials, analysis of spatial and temporal changes of ridge morphostructure was performed. Analysis of the data made it possible to recognize the stages of ridge evolution and delineate its sections differing in tectonics, structure, morphostructural segmentation of the rift zone and the ridge flanks. It is shown that crust in the axial zone of the ridge formed under repeatedly changing spreading kinematics, degree of hotspot activity, and underlying mantle along-axis temperatures. The temporal variations in these characteristics along the rift zone are established, with consideration of their influence on its segmentation and tectonic structural features.</p>
Установлены временны́е изменения этих характеристик вдоль простирания рифтовой зоны и рассмотрено их влияние на ее сегментацию и особенности тектонического строения.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Southwest Indian Ridge</kwd><kwd>topography</kwd><kwd>segmentation</kwd><kwd>tectonics</kwd><kwd>spreading</kwd><kwd>thermal anomalies in the mantle</kwd><kwd>magmatism</kwd><kwd>accretion</kwd><kwd>evolution</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Юго-Западный Индийский хребет</kwd><kwd>рельеф</kwd><kwd>сегментация</kwd><kwd>тектоника</kwd><kwd>спрединг</kwd><kwd>термические аномалии в мантии</kwd><kwd>магматизм</kwd><kwd>аккреция</kwd><kwd>эволюция</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Российский Научный Фонд</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id></award-id></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Шрейдер А.А., Кашинцев Г.Л.
