This species is proposed as an indicator of salinity in Quaternary seas.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Рассмотрены размерно-возрастные особенности роста раковин современных и четвертичных брахиопод Hemithiris psittacea (Gmelin, 1790).
