Until now, the earliest records of this genus were known from the Middle Carboniferous of North America, while on the Russian Plate, the only species known was T. trautsholdi (Waagen, 1879) from the Gzhelian Stage. The studied material enabled a complete description of the new taxon Tainoceras vashutinense sp. nov. Thus, the new find made it possible to expanding the boundaries of the stratigraphic and geographic distribution of this nautilid genus.</p>
Эта находка позволяет расширить границы стратиграфического и географического распространения рода Tainoceras.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>nautilids</kwd><kwd>Tainoceratidae</kwd><kwd>Lower Carboniferous</kwd><kwd>Serpukhovian Stage</kwd><kwd>Protvian Regional Substage</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>наутилиды</kwd><kwd>Tainoceratidae</kwd><kwd>Подмосковье</kwd><kwd>нижний карбон</kwd><kwd>серпуховский ярус</kwd><kwd>протвинский горизонт</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Алексеев А.С., Гибшман Н.Б., Горева Н.В., Сахненко К.В.
