To analyze the data available in the modern literature on the impact of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) on the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) in the postmenopause. Material and methods. The review includes the data of foreign and Russian articles published mainly in the past 5 years and found in Pubmed on this topic. Results. Different manifestations of CHD in women versus men, the cardiovascular benefits of MHT, and the current view of its characteristics in the light of the benefit-risk balance were described. Conclusion. MHT is not a standard therapy for any woman and her cardiovascular risks may be minimal and the benefits may be maximal when choosing the optimal therapy option.</p>
МГТне является стандартной терапией для любой женщины и ее сердечно-сосудистые риски могут быть минимальными, а преимущества - максимальными при выборе оптимального режима терапии.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>postmenopause</kwd><kwd>coronary heart disease</kwd><kwd>menopausal hormone therapy</kwd><kwd>benefit-risk balance</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>постменопауза</kwd><kwd>ишемическая болезнь сердца</kwd><kwd>менопаузальная гормональная терапия</kwd><kwd>баланс пользы/рисков</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Wang H., Dwyer-Lindgren L., Lofgren K.T., Rajaratnam J.K., Marcus J.R., Levin-Rector A. et al.
