Аннотация
В статье представлены данные о частоте послеродовых разрывов промежности III-IV степени. Приведены результаты исследований факторов риска, ближайших и отдаленных последствий разрывов промежности с повреждением анального сфинктера и прямой кишки. Показана роль эпизиотомии, которая в большинстве случаев является методом профилактики разрывов промежности III-IV степени, но в некоторых ситуациях может быть дополнительным или самостоятельным фактором риска. Особое внимание уделено проблеме рациональной техники выполнения эпизиотомии.
