Аннотация
Цель исследования. Определить современные направления и значение контрацепции в профилактике воспалительных заболеваний органов малого таза (ВЗОМТ) и их осложнений. Материал и методы. Проведен анализ материалов базы Кокрейна, рекомендаций международных и отечественных профессиональных сообществ и исследований, опубликованных в открытом доступе. Результаты. Приведены сведения об эпидемиологии, этиологии и социально-экономической значимости ВЗОМТ. Показано, что предотвращение ВЗОМТ и его осложнений включает меры профилактики на организационном и личностном уровнях. Приведены данные клинических исследований об эффективности противозачаточных средств (барьерных, КОК и ВМС), как методов предотвращения не только нежеланной беременности, но и профилактики ИППП, ВЗОМТ и их осложнений. Заключение. Профилактические меры могут существенно снизить частоту и последствия ВЗОМТ у женщин. Пролонгированный режим комбинированной оральной контрацепции повышает ее протек-тивный потенциал в отношении риска ВЗОМТ.
