Abstract
Analysis of the distribution of the frequencies of alleles and genotypes of polymorphic markers in the study genes in healthy versus GDM pregnant women showed a significant increase in the frequency of Lys/Lys genotype of the polymorphic marker Glu23Lys in the KCNJ11 gene, a significant association of the pro and ala alleles of the polymorphic marker pro12ala in the PPARG2 gene and the A and T alleles and AA, AT, TT genotypes of the polymorphic marker A219T in the ADIPOR2 gene with GDM. The findings indicate the genetic features of GDM, which are associated with both abnormal sensitivity to insulin and its impaired secretion.
