In this regard, it becomes possible to use a retrospective of events related to cycling in reconstructing the process of growing up for this category of the population. Of interest are the spatiotemporal parameters of mobility, cultural practices of using this vehicle, and the adventures of young cyclists. The empirical part of the study consisted of materials obtained during expeditions in 2018–2020 in 11 cities of Russia (method of semi-structured narrative-oriented interviews), the respondents were 50 men born in 1949–1977. Memoirs and works of art were also used. Based on the analysis of sources, it was possible to determine the stages of growing up of Soviet boys who actively used bicycles in their everyday life, marked by the use of different models of bicycles and the gradual expansion of the developed territory.</p>
На основе анализа источников удалось охарактеризовать этапы взросления советских мальчиков, маркированные эксплуатацией разных моделей велосипеда и постепенным расширением освоенной территории, а также детско-родительскими конвенциями, регламентирующими веломобильность.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>USSR</kwd><kwd>Soviet childhood</kwd><kwd>anthropology of things</kwd><kwd>anthropology of growing up</kwd><kwd>exploration of space</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>СССР</kwd><kwd>советское детство</kwd><kwd>антропология вещи</kwd><kwd>антропология взросления</kwd><kwd>освоение пространства</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Российский научный фонд</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source><award-id>23-28-00651</award-id></award-group></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Belovinskii, L.V. 2017.
