A sexual accent was found in the signal of a small ground squirrel (<italic>Spermophilus pygmaeus</italic>): in the signal of males, the high-frequency component has a higher peak and maximum frequency than in the signal of females. In the signal of four species of ground squirrels (<italic>Sp</italic>.<italic> pygmaeus</italic>,<italic> Sp</italic>.<italic> musicus</italic>,<italic> Sp</italic>.<italic> xanthoprymnus</italic>,<italic> Sp</italic>. <italic>alaschanicus</italic>) biphonation was detected. It is suggested that in the signal of these species of ground squirrels low and high frequency components generate different sources of the vocal tract. Material collected in the field.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Звуковой предупреждающий об опасности сигнал малого суслика (<italic>Spermophilus pygmaeus</italic>), подобно сигналу ещё шести видов сусликов Евразии, содержит высокочастотный компонент. В сигнале самцов данный компонент имеет более высокую пиковую и максимальную частоту, чем в сигнале самок. Показана бифонация сигнала малого суслика, горного кавказского (<italic>Sp</italic>.<italic> musicus</italic>), малоазийского (<italic>Sp</italic>.<italic> xanthoprymnus</italic>) и алашанского (<italic>Sp</italic>.<italic> alaschanicus</italic>): низко- и высокочастотный компоненты генерируют разные источники голосового тракта.
