Purpose: to study the dynamics of traumatism, to analyze the injury structure as well as the structure of mortality from external causes in adult population of the Russian Federation.

Material and methods. Injury mortality and injury morbidity in adults were analyzed on the basis of official statistical data for the period 2013—2017.

Results. The decline of indices with preservation of gender differences as well as the differences in both the age groups and between the urban and rural population was noticed.

Conclusion. Development of complex preventive regional program is necessary to the decrease of traumatism and its negative sequels.

Цель исследования: изучение динамики травматизма среди взрослого населения Российской Федерации, анализ структуры травматизма и смертности взрослого населения от внешних причин.

Материал и методы. Показатели травматизма и смертности от внешних причин рассчитаны на основании данных официальной статистики за 2013—2017гг.

Результаты. Отмечено снижение показателей травматизма и смертности от внешних причин с сохранением гендерных различий, а также различий в возрастных группах взрослого населения и между городскими и сельскими жителями.

Заключение. Для снижения травматизма и его неблагоприятных последствий необходимо создание комплексных превентивных программ.
