This literature review used the databases eLIBRARY.RU, Google Scholar, and PubMed and is a nonsystematic analysis. Studies describing various aspects of diagnosis, treatment, and development of complications of hallux valgus deformity of the forefoot were analyzed. The present article describes instrumental diagnostics, criteria for assessing the stage of the pathological process, and approaches and methods for surgical correction of deformity.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Hallux valgus является одной из наиболее распространённых деформаций переднего отдела стопы, имеющей широкий спектр клинических симптомов и снижающей качество жизни пациентов в широком возрастном периоде. Данный обзор подготовлен с использованием баз литературных сведений eLIBRARY.RU, Google Scholar и PubMed. Этот литературный обзор носит несистематический характер. Были проанализированы источники, описывающие различные аспекты диагностики, лечения и развития осложнений вальгусной деформации переднего отдела стопы.
