It commonly affects young males who complain of painful snap on the medial side of the elbow. This snap appears when the elbow is being extended with resistance, such as during push-ups. Surgical treatment includes anterior transposition of the ulnar nerve and resection of the medial portion of triceps.</p> <p><bold>AIM: </bold>To analyze the results of surgical treatment performed on wide-awake patients using local anesthetic without tourniquet.</p> <p><bold>MATERIALS AND METHODS:</bold><italic> </italic>Twenty-one patients were operated on 26 hands by a single surgeon between 2018 and 2023. Patients were assessed at least 6 months post-surgery via telephone calls, e-mails, and messaging apps.</p> <p><bold>RESULTS: </bold>Eleven patients were reached for follow-up. Amount of revision surgeries is 8 in this series with maximum number of 5 in one patient for both hands. Two patients are still having different issues in their elbows.</p> <p><bold>CONCLUSIONS: </bold>Snapping triceps syndrome is not easy to treat despite knowledge on this rare condition. The most common reason for revision surgery is persistent snapping even in those patients who were tested for active resisted extension during surgery. However, successful surgery may lead to full return to sport activities as none of our patients complained of loss of triceps power.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold>Обоснование. </bold>Синдром щёлкающего трицепса — редкое заболевание, которое можно ошибочно принять за нестабильность локтевого нерва. Чаще всего от него страдают молодые мужчины, которые жалуются на болезненные щелчки на медиальной стороне локтя. Этот щелчок появляется, когда локоть разгибается с сопротивлением, например, во время отжиманий. Рекомендуемое хирургическое лечение включает переднюю транспозицию локтевого нерва и резекцию медиальной части трицепса.</p> <p><bold>Цель. </bold>Проанализировать результаты хирургического лечения, проведённого у бодрствующих пациентов под местной анестезией без жгута.</p> <p><bold>Материалы и методы. </bold>В период с 2018 по 2023 г. одним хирургом были прооперированы 21 пациент на 26 руках. Оценка состояния пациентов осуществлялась не позднее чем через 6 месяцев после операции дистанционно — посредством телефонных звонков, электронной почты и мессенджеров.</p> <p><bold>Результаты. </bold>От 11 пациентов была получена обратная связь. Количество ревизионных операций в этой серии — 8, максимальное количество — 5 у одного пациента на обеих руках. У двоих пациентов по-прежнему возникают различные проблемы с локтями.</p> <p><bold>Выводы. </bold>Лечение пациентов с синдромом щёлкающего трицепса представляет сложности, несмотря на осведомлённость об этом редком заболевании. Наиболее распространённой причиной ревизионной операции является стойкий щелчок даже у тех пациентов, у которых во время вмешательства проводилось активное разгибание с сопротивлением.
