The following diagnoses were made based on the type of bone edema and medical history: aseptic necrosis of the condyle, subchondral fracture, osteochondritis, secondary osteonecrosis, osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, and others. The paper describes the approach to differential diagnosis based on MRI findings.</p> <p>CONCLUSION: An assessment of bone marrow edema found on MRI in patients with knee pain allows for timely diagnosis clarification and treatment initiation in some cases.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Введение. Оценка отёка костного мозга, выявленного на МРТ-исследовании при болевом синдроме в области коленного сустава, позволяет в ряде случаев своевременно уточнить диагноз и назначить лечение.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>bone marrow edema</kwd><kwd>avascular necrosis</kwd><kwd>subchondral insufficiency fracture of the knee</kwd><kwd>case report</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>отёк костного мозга</kwd><kwd>асептический некроз</kwd><kwd>субхондральный перелом</kwd><kwd>клинический случай</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Azad H, Ahmed A, Zafar I, et al.
