The literature review was carried out on the Internet platforms PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Research Portal, eLibrary, CyberLeninka, rsl.ru. The main directions in research work were determined: indications for endoprosthetics of the elbow joint, implant design, complications and revision surgery. The problem of elbow arthroplasty remains relevant for modern traumatology and orthopedics due to the large number of complications and unsatisfactory results of both primary and revision arthroplasty. Based on the analysis of the literature, the following conclusions were drawn: the rejection of fully connected, rigid systems due to the high frequency of aseptic loosening, the need for further research in the direction of implant design, improvement of the operation technique, determination of strict indications for elbow arthroplasty depending on the pathology, age of the patient and his physical activity, determination of indications for the use of various types of endoprostheses depending on nosology, improvement of technology and development of new methods of revision arthroplasty of the elbow joint.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье представлен анализ зарубежной и отечественной литературы по вопросам тотального эндопротезирования локтевого сустава, а также ревизионной артропластики. Обзор литературы проводился на базе интернет-платформ PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Research Portal, eLibrary, СyberLeninka, rsl.ru. Были определены основные направления в исследовательских работах: показания к эндопротезированию локтевого сустава, дизайн импланта, осложнения и ревизионная хирургия. Проблема эндопротезирования локтевого сустава остается актуальной для современной травматологии и ортопедии из-за большого числа осложнений и неудовлетворительных результатов как первичной, так и ревизионной артропластик. На основе анализа литературы сделаны выводы: необходимы отказ от полностью связанных, жестких систем из-за высокой частоты асептического расшатывания; дальнейшие исследования в направлении дизайна импланта; совершенствование техники операции; определение строгих показаний к эндопротезированию локтевого сустава в зависимости от патологии, возраста пациента и его физической активности; определение показаний к использованию различных типов эндопротезов в зависимости от нозологии; совершенствование техники и разработка новых способов ревизионной артропластики локтевого сустава.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>elbow joint</kwd><kwd>elbow arthroplasty</kwd><kwd>elbow replacement</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>локтевой сустав</kwd><kwd>артропластика локтевого сустава</kwd><kwd>эндопротезирование локтевого сустава</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Navarro NM, Sánchez-Sotelo J.
