The AEP are often accompanied by more or less pronounced catatonic phenomena. The aim of this study was to analyze the pharmacotherapy characteristics of psychiatric hospital patients suffering from AEP with or without catatonic symptoms. The absence of a differentiated approach in the pharmacotherapy of patients with catatonic symptoms was found.
