The 3D visualization of Cystal-like formations observed on dentine surface using scanning electron microscopy

Bessudnova N.O., Makeeva I.M., Venig S.B., Atkin V.S.

Abstract

Crystal formations on the surface of dentine etched using 38% ortophosphoric acid were observed after the dentin had been exposed to 95% ethanol in solution for 30 days at room temperature. The 3D visualization of surface formations was carried out using scanning electron microscopy and Alicona 3D MeX software (Alicona GmbH). Metric characteristics of the mentioned above structures were determined and the nature of possible errors on the steps of model design was studied. It was shown that the shape of the crystal models were likely to be approximated by ellipsoid segments.

ENERGY DISPERSIVE X-RAY ANALYSIS IN IDENTIFICATION OF CRYSTAL FORMATIONS ON DENTINE SURFACE

Makeeva I.M., Bessudnova N.O., Venig S.B., Atkin V.S.

Abstract

Chemical element compositions of crystal-like formations observed on the etched dentine surface have been researched based on the EDX analysis. It has been shown that the basic elements formed the crystal formations are calcium, phosphorus and oxygen, which has made it possible to identify the crystals as calcium-phosphate combinations.

THE PHYSICAL MECHANISMS OF CALCIUM-PHOSPHATE CRYSTAL FORMATION ON THE IRREGULARITIES OF DENTINE SURFACE

Makeeva I.M., Bessudnova N.O., Bilenko D.I., Atkin V.S.

Abstract

The nature of crystal formations on the rough dentine surface was described as based on substance diffusion in solution, which resulted in dentine becoming spatially inhomogeneous over time. It was established that the nature of crystal formation was determined by the limited ion redistribution in dentine material.

LASER-INDUCED FLUORESCENCE OF HARD DENTAL TISSUES

Sarycheva I.N., Yanushevich O.O., Minakov D.A., Shulgin V.A., Kashkarov V.M.

Abstract

Fluorescence spectra of enamel, dentin-enamel junction (DEJ), and dentin as well as various anatomic-morphological regions of intact teeth were obtained under excitation with the laser sources of 405, 445 and 532 nm wavelengths. It was observed that DEJ was characterized by the highest intensity of fluorescence while dental enamel demonstrated the least intensity; at the same time spectra shapes are very similar for all of the applied excitation sources. This makes it possible to make an assumption that the luminescence spectra in the enamel, dentin and DEJ are of the common nature. One can observe the shift of fluorescence peak towards long-wave range with the increase of the excitation wavelength. Intensity of fluorescence was shown to be considerably dependent on the area of the study. We made an assumption that fluorescence of the hard dental tissues is contributed by several endogenous phosphors, first of all, by structural agents of collagen and amelogenin, and also by non-stoichiometric crystals of hydroxyapatite.

COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF MICROBIOCENOSES OF THE PERIODONTAL POCKET WITH CHRONIC GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS AND AGGRESSIVE PERIODONTITIS BEFORE AND AFTER THE TREATMENT

Zorina O.A., Berkutova I.S., Rekhviashvili B.A., Aymadinova N.K.

Abstract

The modern level of knowledge on the etiology and pathogenesis of uniquely identifies microbial factor as the dominant cause of the development of aggressive and typical forms of periodontitis. The study involved patients with chronic generalized periodontitis and aggressive periodontitis in the 2 groups of the study. The choice of tactics of treatment approached selectively depending on the identification of the content of periodontopathogenic microorganisms with the help of PCR-diagnostics.

Kostina I.N.

Abstract

A retrospective study of "case-control included 746 persons residing in the city of Yekaterinberg and Sverdlonsk region. The study of the influence of thyroid pathology in the development of ostheoarthrosis (OA) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Analized the risk, the chances of development of the TMJ patients with thyroid pathology. OA TMJ when the thyroid pathology was revealed in 20,8%. In patients with thyroid pathology risk of developing OA TMJ in 2,5 higher that of individuals without this factor. Women over the age of 40 years belong to the group of risk of occurrence of TMJ when the thyroid pathology.

Abstract

Investigations about dynamics of the level of vomiting reflex and physiological status during impression of jaws taking use alginate for making of dental protectors for people with high level of vomiting reflex are studied in the article. There is investigation about influence of different auxiliary devices for decrease of high level of vomiting reflex. Combined preparation of patients before treatment is the best therapeutic measure for decrease of the level of vomiting reflex, normalization of psychological status, prophylaxis. This preparation is characterized by usage of method of decreasing of high vomiting reflex during dental treatment (patent) and usage of some methods of psychotherapy.

Sipkin A.M., Nikitin A.A., Amhadova M.A.

Abstract

The results of clinical and laboratory examination and treatment 227 patients with fungal infections of the maxillary sinus, occurring after endodontic treatment of teeth in the upper jaw, applied to the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery the Moscow regional clinical Institute from 2001 to 2012. Proved that the causative agent of the disease was the presence of a sinus cavity filling material containing salts of barium sulfate and zinc oxide derived beyond the apical foramen of root canals during endodontic treatment. The methods of surgical treatment and relapse prevention, depending on the location of the fungal colonies and topography of anatomical structures of the nasal cavity.

THE ROLE OF THE ASYMMETRY OF THE PERSON IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL INSTABILITY OF THE TEMPORO-MANDIBULAR JOINT IN PATIENTS WITH A DEEP РЕЗЦОВЫМ OVERLAP

Yatsenko O.I.

Abstract

The aim of the research was the estimation of the external and anatomic-functional characteristics of chewing muscular-articular complex in 49 patients at the age of 19-38 years with a deep incisor overlap. According to the results of research of patients with deep incisor overlap concluded that in patients with moderate and especially with severe degree of deep incisor overlap visually takes place flattening of the lower section of one of the area cheeks, is determined by the difference of the volume of actually masticatory muscles, increase of one half of the body and the height of the branches of the lower jaw with one hand for more than 2 mm. The aim radiographs TMJ observed asymmetry of the height of the articular bumps and forms of articular heads, asymmetric offset one of the joint heads towards the top of the articular of the tubercle. The anatomical asymmetry is accompanied by uneven reduction of bioelectric activity actually masticatory muscles as in periods of compression of the jaw, and when chewing.

THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF TEETH, THEIR HORMONAL REGULATION

Goncharova E.I.

Abstract

Provides an overview of the literature on one of the stages of growth and development teeth - their teething. Some authors still attached to the significant role of the influence of pressure, voltage to the eruption of teeth. The article presents the own experimental data, claiming not only hormonal dependence of the growth and development of the teeth, but sexual dimorphism in their milling. At the same time indicated the parallelism in the regulation of the growth processes in the bone tissue. The presence of General regularities for the growth of highly mineralized tissues should be viewed as a process managed by the General biological laws, as well as the increase of the organism as a whole.
