Two types of hypoplasia are distinguished. Characteristic concentric reflexes in the macular zone in infants with the second type of hypoplasia are detected in ophthalmoscopy in polarized light. Visual functions and their prognosis in infants of both groups are compared. The authors show an opportunity to make a prognosis of visual functions for the infants with hypoplasia of the macular zone in use of ophthalmoscopy in polarized light in the first years of life when optical coherent tomography is failed to be conducted due to the age of the infants.hypoplasia of maculaophthalmoscopy in polarized lightoptical coherent tomographyгипоплазия макулыофтальмоскопия в поляризованном светеоптическая когерентная томография[Водовозов А.
