The article presents the materials of a study on the quality of life of elderly patients with aortic valve damage using the SF-36 questionnaire (Short Form-36 Health Survey), which is one of the most common tools for assessing the quality of life related to health. The SF-36 questionnaire includes 36 questions combined into 8 scales, and also allows you to calculate 2 total indicators — physical (PCS) and mental (MCS) components of health.
