Поэтому я поздравляю каждого из вас! Об этом дне столько сказано, написано, спето, что трудно даже в поздравлении избежать повторов. Но я хотел бы отметить, что для нашего журнала победа над фашизмом имеет особое значение. И не только потому, что он издается в Сталинграде, а окна редакции смотрят на здание, в подвале которого был пленен Паулюс. Дело не в том, что, живя на сталинградской земле, мы особо остро чувствуем, что значит и сегодня эта ПОБЕДА. Строго говоря, в нашей редакционной коллегии значительно больше тех, кто живет в других городах и странах, хотя все они, когда выходит очередной номер, чувствуют себя немного сталинградцами. Спасибо вам, друзья, за это! Но особенным этот день является еще и потому, что именно наша ПОБЕДА сделала необходимой саму биоэтику. Необходимой и возможной. Именно после Нюрнбергского трибунала началась работа над Женевской клятвой врачей, которая стала «первым камнем» в фундаменте биоэтики. Война сделала возможными пытки и использование людей в роли подопытных животных в медицинских экспериментах гитлеровцев. ПОБЕДА дала возможность людям объединиться против повторения этих зверств. Но гуманные принципы биоэтики закладывались еще во время же- The journal comes out in the remarkable time - we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the VICTORY! It is our public and at the same time very personal holiday! This day was so much told, written, sung about and it is very difficult to avoid repetitions even in the congratulation. But I would like to notice that the victory over the fascism has the particular importance for our journal. Not only because it is being published in Stalingrad, and the windows of the editorial office look out on the building in the basement of which Paulus was captured. Not only because we live on the earth of Stalingrad and deeply understood the significance of the VICTORY. Strictly speaking, the majority of the members of the editorial Board live in other cities and countries. However, all of them feel a little a resident of Stalingrad when a regular issue comes out. Thank you, friends. for this! This day is very special for us because it is our VICTORY that made the bioethics necessary and possible. It was after the Nuremberg Tribunal when the work on the Geneva oath of doctors began, this oath became «the first stone» in the foundation of bioethics. War made possible torture and the use of humans as experimental animals in the medical experiments of the Nazis. The VICTORY gave the opportunity for people to unite against the recurrence of such atrocities. The humane principles of bioethics was laid during the brutal fighting in the ruins of Stalingrad, in field hospitals Soviet doctors assisted the wounded enemies. It was a moral deed which we will never forget. Это был нравственный подвиг, о котором мы никогда не забудем. Он показал, что гуманизм медицинской профессии выше ненависти и вражды, что человеческая жизнь признается в медицине абсолютной ценностью, чья бы это жизнь ни была. И сейчас, когда предпринимаются всевозмож-0ные попытки принизить значение нашей ПОБЕДЫ, мы еще больше убеждаемся в ее историческом смысле для сохранения человечества и торжества гуманизма, одним из проявлений которого должна и впредь оставаться биоэтика. С праздником, друзья! Мы победили, и будем побеждать всегда! that the humanism of the medical profession was above hatred and enmity. And now, when there are all sorts of attempts to diminish the significance of our VICTORY, we are even more convinced of its historical sense for saving the humanity, the triumph of humanism, and the bioethics must remain the manifestation of it.
