The paper analyses market and technological features of RedCap technology, as well as peculiarities of the use of RedCap subscriber devices in 5G networks when providing IoT services.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Растущие потребности в развертывании сетей Интернета вещей на основе мобильной связи пятого поколения привели к появлению новой технологии RedCap и ее стандартизации в Релизах 17 и 18 Партнерского проекта 3GPP.
