Different types of optical fibers of G.654 category and possibilities of their welding with fiber of other categories are considered. The paper tells about setting up the extraction of G.654.E subcategory fiber in Russia.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Представлена информация о выборе типов оптических волокон (ОВ) для использования в ТрансЕврАзийской магистральной линии связи TEA NEXT. Рассмотрены различные типы ОВ категории G.654, возможности их сварки с волокнами других категорий.
