Prevention of vascular complications is an important task in modern medicine. Therefore, results of studies concerned with glycaemic target in DM2 have an important significance. The article discusses pharmacological characteristics, mechanisms of action, efficacy and safety of sulfonylurea medications. It is emphasized that the use of modern sulfonylurea medications contributes to achieving the main goals of treatment of DM - long-term metabolic control and prevention or delay of development of vascular complications.</p>
Подчеркивается, что применение современных препаратов сульфонилмочевины способствуют достижению основных целей лечения СД - обеспечению долгосрочного метаболического контроля и предотвращению или отсрочке развития сосудистых осложнений.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>type 2 diabetes mellitus</kwd><kwd>glycemic control</kwd><kwd>cardiovascular complications</kwd><kwd>hypoglycemic therapy</kwd><kwd>sulfonylurea medications</kwd><kwd>gliclazide</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>сахарный диабет типа 2</kwd><kwd>гликемический контроль</kwd><kwd>сосудистые осложнения</kwd><kwd>сахароснижающая терапия</kwd><kwd>производные сульфонилмочевины</kwd><kwd>гликлазид</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Wild S, Roglic A, Green R, et al.
