B vitamins (thiamin, pyridoxine and cyanocobalamin), which action is directed at restoration and maintenance the normal structure of myelin sheath of peripheral nerves are the basis of neuroprotective therapy. The therapeutic effect of B vitamins is also important in the treatment of pain syndromes due to a positive effect on the antinociceptive nervous system, and reduction of intensity of nociceptive impulses in the posterior horns of the spinal cord.</p>
