Treatment of chronic periodontitis in a case of thin PB should be aimed to elimination of several pathophysiological factors: cosmetic defects (multiple recessions), the small vestibule of mouth, bone defects of the alveolar process. For the surgical removal of formed periodontal defects, multilayer techniques using autotransplants should be used.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Тонкий биотип пародонта (БП) - анатомо-физиологическая особенность тканей, предрасполагающая к развитию рецессий десен; пародонт пациентов с тонким БП более подвержен альтерации в случаях нерационального лечения (ятрогении). Лечение хронического пародонтита в условиях тонкого БП должно быть направлено на устранение нескольких патофизиологических факторов: косметических дефектов (множественных рецессий), мелкого преддверия полости рта, костных дефектов альвеолярного отростка.
