In the most cases, these diseases resolve without intervention of against the background of symptomatic treatment. Systemic antibiotic therapy is required in at-risk patients, as well as in patients with severe or complicated course of acute rhinosinusitis and acute otitis media, and in children with acute streptococcal tonsillitis. Nevertheless, in clinical practice the majority of children treated with antibiotics even in case of proven viral etiology of disease. This review is aimed to awareness of pediatricians with the positions of the leading international guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of acute diseases of upper respiratory tract in children, based on the principles of evidence-based medicine.</p>
Целью данного обзора стало ознакомление педиатров с позициями ведущих международных руководств по диагностике и лечению острых болезней ЛОР-органов у детей, основанных на принципах доказательной медицины.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>acute rhinosinusitis</kwd><kwd>acute otitis media</kwd><kwd>acute tonsillitis</kwd><kwd>antibacterial therapy</kwd><kwd>evidence-based medicine</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>острый риносинусит</kwd><kwd>острый средний отит</kwd><kwd>острый тонзиллит</kwd><kwd>антибактериальная терапия</kwd><kwd>доказательная медицина</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Hay A.D.
