The main group consisted of 40 patients, for whom therapy with metformin to compensate for carbohydrate metabolism was added by drug vildagliptin 100 mg/day. The comparison group included 30 patients, for whom treatment with metformin was added by drug glibenclamide at a dose of 3.5 to 7.5 mg/day. It has been shown that combination therapy with metformin and vildagliptin (Galvus Met) is optimal because it synergistically enhances the therapeutic effects, affects all major pathogenetic mechanisms of DM2 with minimal risk of side effects, and promotes slowing of progression of DM2.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Представлены результаты исследования влияния комбинированной терапии на массу тела и распределение жира у 70 пациентов с сахарным диабетом 2 типа (СД2), имеющих абдоминальное ожирение, с использованием магнитнорезонансной томографии для визуализации висцеральной жировой ткани. Основную группу составили 40 пациентов, к терапии которых метформином с целью компенсации углеводного обмена был добавлен препарат вилдаглиптин в дозе 100 мг/сут. В группу сравнения вошли 30 пациентов, к терапии метформином им добавили препарат глибенкламид в дозе от 3,5 до 7,5 мг/сут.
