The role of visceral hypersensitivity as a leading pathophysiological mechanism of IBS is analyzed in detail. Topical non-pharmacological and pharmacological approaches to the treatment of IBS are discussed.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье изложены современные данные о синдроме раздраженного кишечника (СРК), включая вопросы его дефиниции, эпидемиологии, этиопатогенеза, особенностей клинической картины и критериев диагностики. Подробно анализируется роль висцеральной гиперчувствительности как ведущего патофизиологического механизма СРК.
