The article analyzes data on the prevalence and principles of management of patients with Barrett's esophagus. The prevalence of Barrett's esophagus among Caucasians in Siberia varies around 1.5-2.1%. Currently, the leading treatments for Barrett's esophagus include radiofrequency ablation and long-term use of proton pump inhibitors. The chemotherapeutic effect is achieved by the use of aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and ursodeoxycholic acid.

В статье проанализированы сведения о распространенности и принципах ведения пациентов с пищеводом Барретта. Распространенность пищевода Барретта среди представителей европеоидной расы Сибири колеблется на уровне 1,5-2,1%. К ведущим методам лечения пищевода Барретта в настоящее время относятся радиочастотная аблация и длительное применение ингибиторов протонной помпы. Химиотерапевтический эффект достигается при применении аспирина, нестероидных противовоспалительных средств и урсодезоксихолевой кислоты.
