These data gave an impulse to development of concept that the beneficial bacteria in the intestinal microflora, called probiotics, can restore intestinal homeostasis and prevent allergies or decrease its manifestation through interaction with the immune cells in the intestine. Not all probiotic strains have the same properties. The article summarizes the current understanding of the possibilities of prevention of atopic dermatitis in children using Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. A review of research on the prevention of atopic dermatitis in children in the prenatal and postnatal periods is presented.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Существуют качественные и количественные различия в составе кишечной микрофлоры у здоровых грудных детей и у больных атопическим дерматитом. Эти данные послужили толчком для появления концепции о том, что полезные бактерии в составе кишечной микрофлоры человека, названные пробиотиками, могут восстанавливать кишечный гомеостаз и предотвращать возникновение аллергии или уменьшать ее проявления отчасти за счет взаимодействия с иммунными клетками в кишечнике. Не все штаммы пробиотиков обладают одинаковыми свойствами. В статье обобщены современные представления о возможностях профилактики атопического дерматита у детей при помощи Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG.
