The issues related to the evaluation of etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of steatosis in patients with NAFLD still remain an urgent task for the world healthcare. Symptoms of mitochondrial dysfunction, such as changes in the lipidogram and lipid peroxidation indices, as well as in the hepatic cell during electron microscopy, arising from steatosis, confirm its role in the development and progression of the disease. This fact should be taken into account when drawing up a diagnosis plan and an algorithm for treating patients with NAFLD.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Отсутствие единого представления о сути процессов, происходящих при неалкогольной жировой болезни печени (НАЖБП), скудность клинической симптоматики, ограниченные возможности своевременной диагностики обусловливают интерес врачей различных специальностей к поиску решений этой проблемы. Вопросы, касающиеся изучения этиопатогенеза, диагностики, лечения и профилактики стеатоза у больных НАЖБП, по сей день остаются актуальной задачей мирового здравоохранения. Признаки митохондриальной дисфункции, такие как изменения показателей липидограммы и перекисного окисления липидов, а также печеночной клетки при проведении электронной микроскопии, возникающие при стеатозе, подтверждают ее роль в развитии и прогрессировании заболевания.
