In the population, the prevalence of this disease correlates with age, reaching the maximum (60-70%) over the age of 65 years. According to the epidemiological study, OA with the primary lesion of knee and/or hip affects 13.0% of the population in Russia. Progression of OA leads to a significant deterioration in the quality of life of patients due to persistent pain syndrome, impaired functional state of the joints, and is often the cause of disability, which is an important social and economic problem. It was found that OA refers to diseases with high comorbidity, and most often is combined with arterial hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases (coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis), obesity, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, chronic lung diseases, and gastrointestinal diseases.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Остеоартроз (ОА) - одно из самых распространенных заболеваний суставов среди болезней опорно-двигательного аппарата. Распространенность этого заболевания в популяции коррелирует с возрастом, достигая максимальных значений (60-70%) в возрасте старше 65 лет. По данным эпидемиологического исследования, в России ОА с преимущественным поражением коленных и/или тазобедренных суставов страдают 13,0% населения. Прогрессирование ОА приводит к значимому ухудшению качества жизни пациентов из-за постоянного болевого синдрома, нарушения функционального состояния суставов и часто становится причиной инвалидности, что является важной социально-экономической проблемой. Установлено, что ОА относится к заболеваниям с высокой коморбидностью, наиболее часто сочетается с артериальной гипертензией и другими сердечно-сосудистыми заболеваниями (ишемическая болезнь сердца, атеросклероз), ожирением, сахарным диабетом, хроническими заболеваниями почек, хроническими заболеваниями легких, заболеваниями желудочно-кишечного тракта.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>osteoarthritis</kwd><kwd>comorbidity</kwd><kwd>Chondrogard</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>остеоартроз</kwd><kwd>коморбидность</kwd><kwd>Хондрогард</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Arden N., Nevit M.C.
