Abstract

Today, acute gastroenteritis (AGE) represents one of the most serious problems of child health worldwide. At least one episode of AGE occurs in every child aged up to 3 years. In most cases, moderate severity of disease with low mortality in practice leads to a large number of hospitalizations and unnecessary drug use. Universal clinical guidelines and requirements for the diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve the quality of care.
