Abstract

Hepatic encephalopathy is a symptome group, occurring in patients with cirrhosis, not only affecting the quality of life, but being a poor prognostic marker. Hepatic encephalopathy requires active combination treatment, and one of the main directions of the therapeutic process is decrease of the degree of hyperammonemia with L-ornithine-L-aspartate as a drug with the most powerful hypoammonemic potential.
