Hawthorn (Crataegus): options for medical use

The present article discusses the therapeutic indications for the use of drugs prepared on the basis of hawthorn for treatment of various cardiovascular diseases, including arterial hypertension and heart rhythm disorders. Hawthorn has a slight sedative effect, regulating the work of the central nervous system, improves blood flow in coronary vessels, and reduces the stress of the body.
