Resumo
The article presents the current diagnostic criteria for chronic constipation, features of diagnosis and treatment of constipation in middle-aged and elderly patients; the analysis of the results of recent research on the effectiveness of different groups of pharmacological agents in the treatment of constipation is demonstrated.
