Epidemiological and statistical research methods were used.</p> <p>Results. In the Russian Federation, the incidence of HA decreased from 7.3 to 1.5 per 100,000 population between 2009 and 2021, with increases observed in 2014 (7.2) and 2017 (5.5). The minimum incidence (2021) coincided with the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, since 2022 there has been an increase in the rate: 1.6 (2022), 2.4 (2023), 3.2 (2024) per 100,000 population (p &lt; 0.05). The manifestation of the HA epidemic process across the territories of the Russian Federation is uneven. The highest incidence rates are in the Central and Ural Federal Districts, especially in the Bryansk and Ryazan Regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, and Chelyabinsk Region. In the Southern, North Caucasus and Far Eastern Federal Districts, the incidence is consistently below the Russian average. In a number of regions (Kalmykia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, Ingushetia), in some years there were no registered cases of HA. The incidence of the urban population is higher than the rural population; the incidence of children (0–17 years) is higher than that of adults. Among children, the 3–6 year-old age group predominates. From 2019 to 2024, 36 HA outbreaks were recorded, with the number of regions experiencing outbreaks decreasing from 10 to 4.</p> <p>Conclusion. The long-term dynamics of hepatitis A incidence in the Russian Federation are characterized by cyclicality (the interepidemic interval is 3–8 years). A decline in incidence in the pre-COVID period led to the accumulation of a susceptible population and created the risk of further outbreaks. An increase in incidence rates starting in 2022 requires strengthened epidemiological surveillance, especially in disadvantaged regions. The predominance of incidence among children aged 3-6 years makes it advisable to include HA vaccination in the national immunization schedule for this age group. A doubling of the number of vaccinations in 2024 compared to previous years is a powerful preventive measure, along with adherence to the anti-epidemic regimen.</p> <p> </p>
по сравнению с предыдущими годами в 2 раза является мощным профилактическим мероприятием, наряду с соблюдением противоэпидемического режима.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>hepatitis A</kwd><kwd>incidence</kwd><kwd>epidemic process</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>гепатит А</kwd><kwd>заболеваемость</kwd><kwd>эпидемический процесс</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>World Health Organization.
