Resumo
Non-meningococcalpurulent bacterial meningitides (NMPBM) remain to be the least studied since official bacterial meningitis records are unavailable not only in our country, but also in other regions of the world. NMPBM cases in Moscow in 2002-2010 are analyzed. In recent years, the number of cases of NMPBM and its death rates are noted to be higher than those of generalized meningococcal infection. laboratory interpretation of NMPBM in Moscow therapeutic-and-preventive institutions is characterized by a low efficiency and requires a comprehensive approach, by using conventional and current studies.
