One of the key elements of a spectrophotometer is a light source. Today, two types of radiation sources are most often used: xenon lamps and halogen lamps paired with deuterium lamps. The article provides a comparative analysis of these types of lamps in order to identify the advantages and disadvantages of their use in spectrophotometry.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Спектрофотометрия – метод анализа, который широко применяется в химии, биологии, медицине и многих других областях науки и техники. Одним из ключевых элементов спектрофотометра является источник света. Сегодня наиболее часто используются два типа источников излучения: ксеноновые и галогенные лампы в паре с дейтериевыми.
