Abstract

The Colloidal Electrochemical Laboratory (LACE), from which the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences grew, was organized by academician Vladimir Alexandrovich Kistyakovsky in Leningrad in 1929. When preparing the material, the author studied the published documents of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences from the Russian State Library and documents from the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
