SOME SEMANTIC FEATURES OF THE PREPOSITIONS “BY” AND “WITH” IN ENGLISH SENTENCES WITH PASSIVE CONSTRUCTIONS

Abstract

The prepositions " by " and " with " show similarity in meaning when used to denote an agent or an instrument. The present paper is an attempt to demonstrate the influence of the lexical and grammatical characteristics of the passive construction components on the choice of the preposition.
