Abstract
The article discusses the place of anthropology of biomedicine in the context of medical anthropology, the range of its main problems that have emerged in the past 30 years. In anthropological perspective, biomedicine appears as a special socio-cultural system, and biomedical technology as its core are the means of influence on the whole order of modern life.
