Abstract
The Federal Law ''On foundations of cross-border cooperation in the Russian Federation'' provides for the regulation of relations arising in connection with the cross-border cooperation in the Russian Federation, defines the tasks and the basic principles of the cross-border cooperation, as well as directions and forms of interaction between the subjects of cross-border cooperation. The Law does not apply to relationships in the cross-border cooperation that are regulated by the civil legislation (Article 2 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation), including relations with the Russian Federation, Russian Federation subjects and municipal entities.
